• Community Problem Solving CmPS

     

    Community Problem Solving (CmPS) is a team activity in which students identify real problems in the school or community and implement real solutions. Students use the steps and skills of the problem solving process from the Future Problem Solving Program as they work on their project.

    Recent PBE CmPS projects

    2016-2017 Li’l Pirate Pride

    Li’l Pirate Pride worked to restore school spirt and pride to Palm Bay Elementary. The team commissioned three separate mural project which were completed during the course of one year. In addition, the team brought back Dress Like A Pirate Day and developed hands on activities to be used at community events.

     *This team placed as Grand Champions at the Florida state-level FPS competition and then placed 3rd at the International-level FPS competition.

     

    2015-2016 SAHSsy (Sun and Heat Safety)

    SAHSsy worked to increase knowledge of sun and heat safety precautions so that more people would understand how to be protected from sun and heat dangers.

     *This team placed 1st in its category at the Florida state-level FPS competition.

     

    2014-2015 Team TLC

    Team TLC worked to beautify the environment of our school so that students would have a more inviting school campus.

     *This team placed as Grand Champions at the Florida state-level FPS competition and then placed 3rd at the International-level FPS competition.

     

    2013-2014 Project Stars-n-Stripes

    Project Stars-n-Stripes worked to increase the use of proper flag etiquette and to increase the number of citizens and businesses that fly an all-American made American flag.

     *This team placed 1st in its category at the Florida state-level FPS competition and then competed at the International-level FPS competition.
