    The Guidance Department includes our School Counselors, School Social Worker, College & Career Specialist, and our Guidance clerks. We are here to help with academic, social/emotional, and future planning areas.

    Announcements:

    It is Course Registration Request time! An email went out to all 9th to 11th grade parents. There is a tab to the left titled "Course Registration for 24-25" for continued updated information!

    8th Grade Parents: There is a tab for you! "8th Grade Transition to High School" has all of your course registration information.

     

    Guidance Update 4/12:

    • Eastern Florida State College is allowing students to self-register for classes, but Viera High needs to approve your courses first. Fill out the following Google Form with your classes for your School Counselor to approve: https://forms.gle/bB8e7wwzJ9E4T5QS8 Dual Enrollment EFSC Fall Course Schedule is out. Please research what classes you want to take. EFSC Fall Course Registration opens on May 6th for all students. Students with priority registration (Early College & 42+ credit hours) can register on April 22nd.
    • Junior Parent Night PowerPoint is on the homepage of our website, and packets are available in Guidance.
    • Dual Enrollment Info Night PowerPoint is on the Dual Enrollment page.
    • Dual Enrollment Students: Look out for information coming about how to get approval for fall classes before Registration begins on April 22nd for priority students and May 6th for everyone else.
    • Seniors in FLVS classes: You need to have it completed by May 1st, 2024, for it count for graduation.
    • Course Registration Form Meetings:
      • Emails have been sent out to the students who are missing course selection forms. Please turn them into Guidance ASAP!
    • Early Admissions Applications are here! This is if you would like to be full time at EFSC for your senior year. You must have completed the Dual Enrollment process BEFORE applying for Early Admissions.
    • Seniors: It is time to apply for Bright Futures through the Florida Financial Aid Application (FFAA) website! It is a 10-minute application that can done at home as well. We have instructions on our website and in the Guidance office.
