Mr. Rick Fleming

Mr. Fleming is a 25 year resident of Brevard County and has been employed at several schools during this tenure. He began his teaching career in the Miami-Dade County school system back in 1988 and relocated to Brevard in 1994 after losing his home in the devastation of Hurricane Andrew. Mr. Fleming taught Social Studies and coached football at Hoover Jr. High School in 1994 before moving to Rockledge High as the Dean/Assistant Principal in 1995. After a three year tenure at Rockledge High Mr. Fleming moved to Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School as a twelve-month Assistant Principal in 1998. He became Principal at Jefferson Middle School in Merritt Island in 2002 where he remained until becoming the Principal here at West Shore in 2006. Mr. Fleming holds a B.S., M.S. and Ed.S. degrees in education and his hobbies are reading, fishing, landscaping, and cooking. He is married to his wife Robin of 28 years and they have four children: Katharine, who is a new mother to twins and a local Chiropractor, Eric and Tyler; twins, who are West Shore graduates and Bradley, who is currently a college student.

Ms. Catherine Halbuer

Ms. Halbuer began her teaching career in New Jersey teaching middle school and high school mathematics and coaching cheerleading. She moved to Brevard County in September of 1991 and began substituting at West Shore when it was Central Junior High. Shortly thereafter she began teaching mathematics at Eau Gallie High School where she also coached cheerleading and girl’s golf. Ms. Halbuer then moved into administration as a 10-month Dean/Assistant Principal at Cocoa High for a year before moving to Merritt Island High as the 12-month Assistant Principal for Curriculum. In 2010 she became Principal of Clearlake Middle School and then moved back to Cocoa High School when the school closed to assist with the transition of Cocoa High to a 7-12 school. While at Cocoa High she was responsible for middle school curriculum along with 9th and 12th grade discipline for 2 years before moving to West Shore. Ms. Halbuer holds a B.A. degree in Economics from Douglass College, Rutgers University, and a M.A. in Supervision and Curriculum Planning from Georgian Court College. She has begun working on her doctorate at UCF in Educational Leadership. Ms. Halbuer's hobbies are reading, gardening, lobstering, fishing and sailing. She enjoys spending time with her family including her two German Shepherds.

Mr. Glenn Webb

I have been with Brevard County Schools since 2000. I taught middle school science for 15 of those years, including having the joy of teaching my own children. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies from Rollins College and a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University in 2013. My wife, Katie is also an educator in Brevard County, my daughter is currently studying Communications and Global Health at Rollins College and my son is a senior at Eau Gallie High School. I have a love of all things outdoors including running, hiking, fishing, and camping. I am grateful to be a part of the Wildcat Nation and look forward to building long lasting relationships with all of our families.
