At some point in your career, you may be faced with a personal or family illness or other life event that requires you to be away from work for an extended period of time. The Brevard Public Schools’ Leave Team is available to assist you in managing the leave you need to handle these life events and to ensure a smooth transition back to your role within Brevard Public Schools.
Please remember when you go on a leave of absence and are no longer receiving a paycheck, you MUST make arrangements with Brevard County School Board, Office of Employee Benefits at 321-633-1000, ext 11263, in order to keep your benefit coverage active.
The following information will provide an overview of the Leave of Absence process. Please review the Leave of Absence Guidebook for answers to your specific leave type and the steps required to initiate your leave of absence request. You will need to visit your school’s or department’s benefits contact to begin your leave request.
