Principal's Update - 20 Sep 2022

Bayside Students and Families ~

NEW… BHS Summer Highlights:

Congratulations! The following students have been selected as a College Board National Recognition Awardee.  They earned this recognition because of their academic achievements in school and outstanding performance on the PSAT/NMSQT®, PSAT™ 10, and/or AP® Exams. They've accomplished these milestones during an immensely demanding period of their high school career.

The following students have been awarded recognition:  Brendon Barsotti, Jadyn Small, Julisha Jean-Jacques, Kalei Mcpherson, Mya Diaz, Nahomie Gelin, and Owen Chaves.  Great Job Bears!

Thank you to our business partner, Mike Erdman – Nissan, for their generous donation to our athletic programs!

NEW… Graduation Date 2023:

Bayside High School is tentatively scheduled for our 2023 graduation for Thursday, May 25th, 2023 at 6:00pm in the BHS StadiumThis date and time still need to be approved by the BPS district office.  Due to the number of instructional hours required in a semester, all graduations had to be scheduled for after Monday, May 22nd.  Based on the senior feedback and feedback from our school survey to families, the decision was made to request the above date, time and location.  Should there be inclement weather, the plan is to delay for 1 hour and continue to the ceremony in the stadium should weather permit.  If not, the ceremony will be relocated to the BHS gymnasium with limited ticket entry, but live-streamed into the theater for the remaining guests.  Let’s hope the weather holds!  Stay tuned for a confirmation regarding the above date.
