NEW… BHS School Highlight:

  • Congratulations to Nathaniel Fret and Marie Yonts for being chosen for the 2022 Florida Music Education Association High School Honor Band.  Being selected for All-State is one of the highest awards that a music student can receive in Florida!

NEW… Graduating Seniors:

If you are graduating with your AA in May, you MUST apply for EFSC graduation, even if you do not plan to attend the ceremony.  Please use the link below to apply for graduation and note that there is a graduation fee for EVERYONE regardless of ceremony participation.  If this application is not filled out by February 24th, there will also be a late fee attached to your application.

NEW… American Rescue Plan (COVID/ESSER funding):

If you are interested in learning more about the American Rescue Plan (COVID/ESSER funding), please take some time to view our district’s web page.  Here you can learn about what the state tasked the district with in order to receive funding, how the district got feedback from stakeholders and what the feedback was, as well as FAQ’s and what our proposal was for the ARP ESSER funds which could potentially bring the district $144,325,289.00.

To locate this information, go to the district website (www.brevardschools.org), click “Parents & Students”, click “American Rescue Plan 2021 Website”, and click “Here” for more information.  From there, you will see tabs at the top entitled:  Meeting Dates, FAQ, ESSER I&II, and ARP ESSER Documents.

 

REMINDER…Graduation Date for the Class of 2022:

Graduation will be SATURDAY, May 21st at 7:00pm in the BHS Stadium!

 

REMINDER… Tardy to School Consequence:

BHS will be holding Saturday school on the 2nd Saturday of every month, for students that have been tardy to school more than 3 days the previous month. Saturday School will be from 8 to 12. Late students will not be admitted.  Students assigned a Saturday school and do not attend will be suspended out of school the following Monday.

 

Reminder…After School Supports:

Math - There will be math tutoring after school on Mondays and Tuesdays from 3:45-5:15pm in room 755.  Please contact Ms. Anderson with any questions at anderson.jacalyn@brevardschools.org

Math – There will be additional math tutoring after school on Wednesdays from 3:45-4:45pm in room 651.  Please contact Mr. Reed with any questions at reed.nick@brevardschools.org

ESOL - There will be virtual ESOL tutoring on Mondays from 5:00-6:30 and Friday’s from 4:00-5:30. Please contact Ms. Huete for additional information and the virtual link at huete.ruth@brevardschools.org

ESE - There will be tutoring for ESE students on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:40-4:40 both virtually and in person (room 6-602).  Please contact Ms. Chamberlain at chamberlain.cheryl@brevardschools.org for more information and a virtual link.

Guidance/Lab Time – There will be guidance support (i.e. talk to a counselor, credit checks, GPA checks, college/workforce Q+A, etc.…) and/or computer access/study time available from 4:00-5:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the guidance office.  Please contact Ms. Flesher at flesher.nicole@brevardschools.org with questions.

Social Emotional Support Groups – There will be after school social emotional support groups for students on Mondays from 3:45-4:45 in the guidance office starting in January.  Please contact Ms. White with any questions at white.jalessa@brevardschools.org

 

UPDATE… Important Dates for Yearbooks:

Yearbooks are on sale for $80.00 until March 30th, and while supplies last. Go to www.yearbookforever.com to purchase online. Yearbooks will be distributed in May and if there are any left after March 30th, they will be sold after distribution for $90.00, first come first served, until they are all gone.  Please email Heather Fowler at fowler.heather@brevardschools.org with any questions.
