CCU Florida Hosts Successful 321 Financial Liftoff

On March 21, Community Credit Union of Florida (CCU Florida) proudly welcomed 792 students from eight BPS high schools to the Maxwell C. King Center for the Performing Arts for its highly anticipated 3rd annual 321 Financial Liftoff. The 321 Financial Liftoff is an interactive panel discussion with young entrepreneurs and influencers from Brevard County to speak about their career and money experiences.

Hosted by May Friday, Financial Education Manager at CCU Florida, and Hilary Reed, CEO of EmpowerFi, the panelists included:

  • Quinisha Bredwood – Founder/CEO of Q’s Crackin Crab and Seafood Kitchen
  • Rushil Shah – Student at West Shore Jr./Sr. High School and President/Founder of Brevard Finance for Youth, Inc.
  • Dalton Smith – Founder/Creative Director of NPI Productions
  • Emily Zeck – Social Media Influencer, Singer, Songwriter, and Owner of Soul Arch Surf Club and Pineapple Girl Swimwear

Throughout the event, students were able to listen to a candid discussion about financial literacy, entrepreneurship, planning for the future, and the triumphs and setbacks encountered by the panelists in their personal and professional journeys. Most importantly, attendees were encouraged to actively engage by posing questions, fostering an environment of learning and dialogue.

Aligned with CCU Florida's commitment to enhancing the financial well-being of its members and fostering positive community impact, the 321 Financial Liftoff serves as a cornerstone initiative. By equipping students with essential tools for navigating their financial journeys, this program underscores CCU Florida's dedication to empowering individuals towards financial success.
