July 5, 2018
ROCKLEDGE, Florida --Wesley Herold, interim principal of Ralph M. Williams, Jr. Elementary, was named permanent principal of the school.
Herold said: “I have always been passionate about having a career in which I can make a positive impact on our youth. I am excited to have the opportunity to support so many students and their families as they establish the foundation for their future.”
His 13 years in education have been with Brevard Public Schools. Previously, he was the assistant principal at Williams Elementary in Rockledge and, most recently, interim principal. He was a teacher at Enterprise Elementary in Cocoa and Quest Elementary in Melbourne.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and a master’s degree from Nova Southeastern. Herold is a Merritt Island High graduate, and attended Cape View Elementary, Roosevelt Middle and Edgewood Junior High.
“The greatest accomplishment for me will never show up on a certificate or newsfeed, it is working with a student that is struggling and having them enjoy learning again and getting them back on the right path,” Herold said. “I am excited to have the opportunity to continue learning alongside an amazing group of educators and continue growing the relationships my family and I have developed over the past four years.”
Herold lives in Titusville with his three daughters and his wife Jackie, who is a teacher at Enterprise Elementary in Cocoa.
