Brevard FEA Members Place at State Competition

The Florida Future Educators of America (FFEA) Conference was held the last weekend of January at the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando. FFEA is a state-mandated club that was created to get students excited about a possible career in the education field. The DOE hosts the state conference every year. High School and College FEA chapters compete against each other in the following categories: Lesson Plan, Public Speaking, Research PowerPoint, Video, and Display Board.

 

Brevard County students from three different schools competed and placed at the State Conference. Palm Bay Magnet High School placed 5th for their video. Team members included Taylor Forsythe, Nyliyah Dawkins, Leilla Guzman, Taylor White, Krystal Lang, Lindsey Jimenez, and Nina Oliver.

 

Space Coast Jr/Sr placed 1st for their PowerPoint with the following contributors: Kaedyn Martin, Jax Martin, Tanner Martin, Tymariah (Julie) Eason, Miya Burton, Trinity Green, Kierstin Kinney, Alyssa Leighton, Andrew Procell, Victoria Nguyen-le, and Mia Lopez Rodriguez. Miya Burton placed 2nd in Public Speaking, and the Space Coast Display Board won 4th place with contributors Emily Walton, Breanna Anderson, Evelyn Loo, Morgan Casey, Dean Hurst, Trinity Green, Kierstin Kinney, Jax Martin, Kaedyn Martin, Tanner Martin, Victoria Nguyen-le, Declan Kelchner, Regan Kelchner, Chase Sherman, and Falina Aldridge.          

 

Lastly, Titusville High School earned 3rd place in Educational Research and 5th place in Chapter Display. Both of these group projects were completed by Monica Burgos Chaparro and Ariana Woods.
